It is Spring again!

For Koreans September usually means autumn, and it used to remind me of fallen leaves and reading. In Korea, people say autumn is the season for reading. When the weather is getting cooler and the grains are ripe, you can ripen your mind and heart by reading books. But Australia is totally different. Here, September is spring. These days, almost every morning for exercise, I walk in the streets around my house at a brisk pace for about an hour. On every street spring flowers are blooming and green leaves are sprouting on the trees. It seems to me that flowers and plants tell it is spring and it is time to wake up.

The sun rises early and the daytime is getting quite long. Many things, which seemed dead, revive again. Likewise, our body and mind were shrunk with cold for a long time, but now it is time to relax our muscles and gladly accept the spring's invitation of vitality. Let us breathe long and deep to inhale the spring air and enjoy the breeze coming from every direction. At the same time, let us feel God's breath through all of these things. Throughout the Bible the Holy Spirit is referred to as the breath of God who intervenes with supernatural power and divine purpose in our lives. The Holy Spirit brings life and fills us with God's presence.

Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know I am God."

John 20:22 says, "He (Jesus) breathed on them and said,

"Receive the Holy Spirit.”

When Jesus breathed on his disciples, they each received the Holy Spirit. Many scholars believe that the act of Jesus' breathing on the disciples to receive the Holy Spirit was an act of “re-creation." Everything is waking up and making noise. I hope you will be still for a while and feel and receive the breath of God so that you will be re-created in His love.

We praise Him for His wonderful world. Amen..
